About the Artist: Sharon Paster

Abstract Artist. Sharon is a Marin based artist drawn to the energy around her. She finds fascination in the integral play of motion and the way objects in space ‘talk’ to one another.

In Sharon’s own words, “ I layer oil colors, play with space, and contrast the solid with the ephemeral—the fixed with the fluid—to replicate the forces of nature at work. In my paintings, time is suspended, but we are just on the brink of chaos. The surface is often calm, but the tension is ever-present. Everything pulsates with life, on the verge of movement and change.”
